Your gift to the Annual Appeal helps to sustain the IAT. The trail passes through a dynamic forested landscape, which will quickly reclaim the footpath without the regular work of our trail crews. The crews volunteer their time, and we cover a portion of their expenses in the field. Our part-time coordinator, Amy Barker, keeps all the cars on the tracks, sharing monthly news, overseeing the summer hikes, responding to questions from thru-hikers, representing the IAT at conferences, and supporting the Board and members in countless other ways.
